본 연구는 독거노인생활관리사가 인식하는 독거노인의 자기결정권 정도를 살펴보고 그 러한 인식에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 파악하기 위한 것으로 서울시 독거노인종합지원센터 에 근무하는 독거노인생활관리사 중 150명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 분석결과 독거 노인생활관리사가 인식하는 독거노인의 자기결정권은 ‘독거노인의 자기결정권 실행지원’ 과 ‘독거노인의 자기결정권 이해’의 두 하위요인으로 추출되었다. 각 하위 요인을 기술통계 분석한 결과 ‘독거노인의 자기결정권 실행지원’은 2.41, ‘독거노인의 자기결정권 이해’는 2.66으로 독거노인생활관리사들은 독거노인의 자기결정권에 대해서는 이해가 높은 편이 나 그에 비해 실천현장에서 독거노인의 자기결정권이 실행될 수 있도록 지원되는 정도는 낮게 나타났다. 각 인식에 영향을 주는 요인을 위계적 회귀분석한 결과 ‘독거노인의 자기결 정권 이해’에 대해서는 경력기간과 거소결정에 대한 노인의 의사반영 중요성 인식이 유의 미한 영향요인인 것으로 나타났고 ‘독거노인 자기결정권 실행지원’은 지역과 거소결정에 대한 노인의 의사반영 중요성 인식이 유의미했다. 이에 따라 독거노인생활관리사들의 노인 의 자기결정권에 대한 이해는 높으나 실천현장에서 실행되기에 한계가 있다고 할 수 있으 며 이를 개선하기 위해 독거노인생활관리사들의 교육내용에서 자기결정권에 대해 추상적 이고 관념적인 개념만 가르치기보다 실천현장에서 적용할 수 있는 사례를 통한 교육이 필 요하며 경력기간에 따라 차별화된 자기결정권에 대한 교육프로그램이 필요함을 제안하였 다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of the perception of Self Determination of the Elderly Living Alone of Life Manager and to examine factors affecting that perception. For this study, this study took sampling of 150 life managers for Older Persons Living Alone (solitary elderly care managers) working at comprehensive support Center for the Elderly Ling alone in Seoul-si, and the collected data was analyzed. The results of this study were summarized as follows. (1) Two factors were extracted through the factor analysis: 1. Understanding of self-determination, 2. Support for self-determination execution. (2) Life managers for Older Persons Living Alone understand self-determination of the Elderly Living Alone well but it has not been shown to work well in social welfare field. (3) Affecting factors on ‘Understanding of self-determination’are the length of career and perception on the importance of decision of older people on where to be and Affecting factors on ‘Support for self-determination execution’are the region of the respondents and perception on the importance of decision of older people on where to be. Based on the results, this study suggests that training program for Life managers for Older Persons Living Alone should be provided practical examples of self-determination that are applicable in the field and differentiated according to the duration of careers. |
