본 연구는 사회복지사 후견인의 후견활동 경험을 탐색적으로 밝혀 향후 발전방향에 대해 논의하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 사회복지사 전문가 후견인으로 활동하고 있는 4명의 사회복지사를 대상으로 개별 인터뷰를 진행한 후 주제분석하였다. 분석 결과 후견활동의 시작, 사회복지사 후견인으로서 역할, 후견활동에서의 어려움, 사회복지사 전문가 후견인의 발전 방향 등 4가지 범주와 10개의 주제가 도출되었다. 사회복지사 전문가 후견인들은 법적권한이 있는 사례관리자, 피후견인과 이해관계자에 대한 옹호자, 지지자 등 사회복지사의 역할과 후견인의 역할을 중첩하여 수행하고 있었다. 후견사무 과정에서 관련 기관의 이해와 협력 부족, 의사결정지원 판단 가이드라인의 부재, 피후견인 이해관계자들과의 갈등 등 어려움을 겪고 있었다. 발전방향으로는 사회복지 전문가 후견인의 업무범위, 슈퍼비전 체계 마련, 다양한 전문가가 참여하는 의사결정지원체계의 구성, 구체적인 사례를 바탕으로 한 매뉴얼의 개발 등이 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 현재 시행되고 있는 사회복지사 전문가 후견인에 대한 고찰을 통하여 향후 개선 및 발전방향에 대한 함의를 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to exploratory reveal the guardianship experience of social worker guardians and discuss their implications for future development. To achieve this purpose, individual interviews were conducted with four social workers who are active as social workers expert guardians, and then subject to analysis. As a result of the analysis, four categories and ten themes were derived: the beginning of the guardianship activity, the role of a social worker as a guardian, the difficulties in guardianship activities, and the development direction of the guardian of the social worker expert. The social worker expert guardians overlapped the role of social worker and guardian, such as case manager with legal authority, advocate for guardian and stakeholders, and supporter. In the process of guardianship, there were difficulties such as lack of understanding and cooperation of related organizations, lack of guidelines for decision-making support, and conflicts with stakeholders of the guardian. The development direction included the scope of work of guardians of social welfare experts, the establishment of a supervision system, the composition of a decision support system in which various experts participate, and the development of a manual based on specific cases. Based on these results, the implications for future improvement and development directions were discussed through a review of the social worker expert guardians currently in effect.
