Summary

Experts, current researchers, and legal practitioners from Germany and Korea gather to discuss about Adult Guardianship
systems in the two countries: its implementation, the current status, the role of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons
with Disabilities (CRPD) and other related institutions.

KCGAT Participation

Professor Inhwan Park gave an assessment of the implementation of Korean Adult Guardianship system in the past four
years, and suggested its future direction of improvement.

Professor Cheolung Je led the floor discussion about why Guardianship system has not been a popular choice and how the
legal practitioners should monitor the implementation of the system to make it more accessible.
